Trust in the LORD

Today, during devotion, the speaker spoke about these two verses.

(Proverbs 3:5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

(Proverbs 3:6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I felt really encouraged because with the exams nearing, God has been repeatedly reminding me to have faith and trust in Him. The day before (I think) the song played as a signal for as to make our way to the hall in the morning for assembly was about trusting in God as well.

Also, during music, we were doing compositions and I managed to complete more or less, without adding in all the details yet. When I tried to check if my piece was saved in the program, I couldn't do so, the program just wouldn't open. My heart dropped then... what if I had to redo?
Furthermore when the computer was restarting, there was an error, so my teacher suggested checking my thumbdrive on another computer and shutting the current one. I did so but after 1 minute, decided to try switching it on again. Thank God, it worked and my work was not lost. Faith is not easy but it's vital.

Fever

My temperature was shockingly high yesterday at 38.2 degrees celsius reaching 38.4 degrees celsius. So, I got sent home half an hour into music lesson, along with the sandwich made by my caring teacher. Well, in a way, I think the fever was a hidden blessing from God. I haven't had enough rest lately, due to all the tests and I was panicking to study for the test the next day. So, God is good, I managed to go home earlier and sleep... zzz It was refreshing. :D Now, I think my fever has subsided, thanks to God.

We were suppose to do compositions today but now, it's ms P's turn to fall sick. I wonder is it because of me? :D I hope not but that she will get better soon. One injury and then, now, she's not well.

National Day Celebrations

Wowee...!!! Today was a sea of red and white, with some polka dots, which contributed to a patriotic atmosphere. I didn't wear red or white though as I didn't have any suitable outfit to wear, not even red. We had a 'don't forget the lyrics,' competition and NE quiz for the activities. I was part of the team of people who had to participate (by drawing of lots). Fortunately, for me, there was a lack of time and the songs were almost done, (the last few were for the teachers) so I was 'spared.' :D Joo Ye said I looked so stressed... Well I was... haha.

The singing session was great, we sang song after song in the warm morning sun, enthusiastically waving our plastic flags. Groups of people gathered together to sing, where voices intertwined with a similar 'heartbeat.' It always crescendoed to a resounding climax whenever we reached the chorus of the song. 'One people, one nation, one Singapore!'

Oh yes, our chinese teacher, became a Singaporean! How significant, and she made mention of our class. :D (ok, that's beside the point.) I'm really happy for her. She has worked long in Singapore and is a fantastic teacher.

Right, I'll better be off now... la la la la ... Together Singapore, Singapore!

Meeting up

Meeting up,
laughter,
catching up-the exchange of words
passions intermingle
with the clinking of stainless steel against glass.

S mi le
There is never a dull moment,
as laughter resounds, layer after layer
in pleasant, tinkling echo.

It was great meeting up with Miss T and talking with everyone. :D

Alliteration

I thought of this while waiting for the bus this morning...
It's a wonder, how staring at a blade of grass can lead to this. :D

A green glade of grass, gleaming in the sun( of course there wasn't much sun at that time yet.),
in all it's glory- splendour.

A little red spray-painted body,
covered with miniscule black dots
rests on its surface.

Deciduous dew, drips.
The wind blows
and the little round creature hangs on
for dear life,

undaunted.

( well, the lady bird is ficticious, of course, I didn't see any lady bird on it.) :)

Friday

Well, bio spa is finally over for good. :)

I just entered the world of drama with Joo Ye just now. The whole ambience bursts with the essence of drama. The acting was wonderful and entertaining. I felt that the emotions of the characters were well brought out. Drama is cool. :D It isn't easy of course. I like to watch but not act.

学生须知

Just finished listening comprehension today. The questions were a little tricky. Now, to wait...
I love the 1/2 hr of classical music. That was the best part. :) I was trying hard not to analyse the music... it was so tempting. The piece by Elgar was played as well... lovely lovely!

Today there's suppose to be a total eclipse. Sadly, there was a thunderstorm, the sky was gloomy... there was no observable change. (just like doing some science experiment... haha.) Plus, I had to do an NSW English paper during that time. The paper was extremely, I repeat, EXTREMELY challenging but good. The standard of the paper was excellent, the most difficult of all the NSW papers I've done. There was quite a fair bit of lit incorporated into the questions and the vocabulary was tough. Well, I need to brush up that. Vocabulary has no box big enough to contain it. It's just, too diverse, too wide.
